About us
Beautiful books that grow with young hearts.
Lantern Kids is the children’s imprint of Lantern Publications, dedicated to creating beautifully crafted books that nurture imagination, character, and faith—rooted in the Shia Islamic tradition and the legacy of the Ahl al-Bayt (as).
We believe children deserve stories that take them seriously: stories that are funny, tender, true, and well-told. Stories that honour the depth of a child’s inner life. And stories that, alongside the joy of reading, plant seeds of meaning that grow long into adulthood.
Lantern Kids began the way many of our best ideas do—in our living room, looking for the right book to read with our daughter. When we couldn’t find what we were looking for, we decided to make it ourselves. That conviction has stayed with us as the imprint has grown.
Every book is the work of authors, illustrators, and editors who sweat the details—because children remember what they read.
Our stories meet children where they are: in the everyday questions, the bedtime moments, and the world they are still learning to see.
Picture books for the youngest, middle-grade for confident readers, and dual-language and translation works for families across the globe.
Lantern Kids is part of Lantern Publications—a specialist publishing house dedicated to high-quality Islamic literature for readers of every age. You can read more about our wider editorial team and advisory board there. Together, we’re building a library that families can grow with.
Reading shapes a child’s inner world. We hope to fill it with light.
